In January, the cluster invited members to an ideation session with the goal of setting the course for the future. During the session, the need to focus on sustainability in fintech was brought up by multiple participants.

This did not go unnoticed so we decided to apply for funds from Innovation Norway to set up a dedicated member-based group around the topic which was granted.

The goal is to create a cross-cluster arena with the purpose of furthering the focus on sustainable solutions and development within fintech. Group members will be able to share experiences in working with sustainability and build a network within the cluster. The group will aim to deliver on concrete cooperative initiatives (ideas for pilots, events and more).

The first step is to gather members who openly would like to discuss the opportunities and challenges within sustainability in fintech. Thereafter we will together decide the right structure, goals and mandate for the group. Together we will find the best path towards greater and focused collaboration within sustainability in our field.

Who are we looking for? Engaged representatives from the financial sector, academia, investors and start-ups with both personal and professional interest in the topic. The meeting will take place in October and the plan is to launch the group later in this year.

We've invited Marianne Haahr from Green Digital Finance Alliance in Copenhagen to provide some examples of cooperative work in sustainable fintech during the meeting in October.
