Project: Digital Inclusion
As financial services become increasingly digital, many people face challenges accessing and understanding essential tools like mobile banking, online payments, and digital identification.
This project aims to improve digital and financial inclusion by developing user friendly, trustworthy solutions for groups currently underserved by the financial system.
While the project initially focuses on individuals with limited digital skills and newcomers unfamiliar with Norwegian banking norms, its broader goal is to create inclusive financial services for all – regardless of background, language, or digital confidence. This includes not only individuals adapting to a new society but also aspiring entrepreneurs and residents in rural areas who may face similar barriers to participation.
Through cross-sector collaboration with banks, fintechs, municipalities, NGOs, and academic institutions, the project will:
-
Develop and test practical digital onboarding tools, including support for ID verification, mobile banking, and personal finance management.
-
Offer training programs to build digital confidence and financial literacy.
-
Pilot solutions in selected municipalities, with input from both users and financial institutions.
-
Create a scalable model that other regions and organizations can adopt.
This project is not just about improving access to technology – it’s about building trust, confidence, and a sense of belonging in the digital financial system. By working across industries and public services, the project will help ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate fully in the digital economy.
