Project: Cyber Security
As digital threats grow more complex and frequent, the need for robust cybersecurity across the financial industry has never been greater. Led by NCE Finance Innovation, this three-year initiative aims to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities acros the financial sector in Norway.
Starting with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), who often lack the internal resources to meet increasing regulatory and security demands.
At the heart of the project is the development of a practical, open-access cybersecurity toolbox – featuring templates, checklists, training packages, and guidance for complying with regulations like DORA, NIS2, and the AI Act. Alongside this, we’re creating test environments, running workshops, and launching self-assessment tools and internship programs to build lasting competence and innovation capacity in the region.
While SMEs are our initial focus, this project is designed to evolve into a collaborative platform for the entire financial industry, including large incumbents. Cybersecurity and operational risk affect everyone – and we believe that only through a holistic, cross-sector approach that spans organizations of all sizes can we truly build a secure and resilient financial ecosystem.
